Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
1st- 7am to 3:30pm
2nd- 3pm to 11:30pm
3rd- 11pm to 7:30am
Overview:
The primary responsibilities of the Operations Intern include ensuring safety and environmental compliance, adhering to quality procedures, data collection, problem-solving, and continuous improvement as part of a work team. The role involves considerable interaction with other production units and support functions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Be accountable for all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning standards and guidelines.
- Become familiar with procedures for all equipment within the work area, including normal operations, quality inspections, safety procedures and safeguards, and lock out tag out (LOTO).
- Utilize SAP and other systems to help improve operations and properly document production.
- Stay informed of the team's production performance via visual, written, and verbal communications.
- Participate in regular reviews of team production performance and events.
- Seek and apply Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to achieve team goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship needs.
- Ability to work part-time hours as needed, accommodating academic schedules.
- Proficiency with computers, software, and data processing.
- Demonstrate positivity, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DOMO (Data Management).
- GMP and/or consumer goods manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience (1 year or more) in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated competency in problem-solving, decision-making, effective communication, and results-oriented tasks.
